About IPchase

ipchase.com is a one-stop IP lookup and network toolkit. We put disguise detection and scoring at the very center of the homepage, and integrate IP location, Whois, DNS, Ping, port scanning and speed test on the same page — no sign-up, no redirects.

What IPchase offers

The site is organized around one question: what does your network environment look like to the outside world? The homepage shows your exit IP, location and ISP the moment it opens; fingerprint detection covers nine browser fingerprint categories — HSTS, WebGL, Canvas, Plugins, Client Rects, Fonts, Audio, WebGPU and media devices — and combines them with timezone, language, WebRTC and DNS exit checks into a 0–100 disguise score; Whois and DNS diagnostics serve domain asset investigation; Ping, port scanning and speed test cover basic network quality. All tools are free, no account required.

Data sources & accuracy

IP location is based on the MaxMind GeoLite2 offline database, synced daily; Whois queries go through RDAP directly to registries and registrars; DNS diagnostics use public resolvers such as Cloudflare and Google with exit-consistency comparison; Ping and port probes originate from our Singapore servers. We keep investing in cross-validation, but every IP database has boundary errors — accuracy is city-level, and street-level positioning is beyond what any IP database can promise. If you spot an obviously wrong result, email us: we verify, then feed corrections back to database maintainers or adjust our display logic.

Privacy commitment

Fingerprints never leave your browser. All nine fingerprint categories and the disguise score are computed locally; the server receives and stores no fingerprint data. IP lookups use your exit address only for the current display and are never shared with third parties; lookup caches expire within 1–24 hours. See the Privacy Policy for the full list of what is and is not collected.

The percentages on the homepage “Network Pulse” (datacenter share, IPv6, regions) are anonymous daily aggregates: only classification results are recorded — never any individual IP — and deduplication uses irreversible hashes cleared within 24 hours.

Operations

The site is run by network engineering enthusiasts in their spare time; server and bandwidth costs are covered by advertising. The blog keeps publishing on IP, DNS, browser fingerprinting and cross-border network quality, written from public protocol documents (RFCs), operator materials and hands-on troubleshooting experience, always with reproducible methods.
